In the late 1950’s, expansion became necessary.  AES became a distributor for Briggs & Stratton in 1958. 
During the next twenty years, AES added more and more air-cooled engine lines and lawn equipment parts lines such as MTD, Tecumseh and Kohler and began to phase out “Automotive” products.
